Welcome from the Executive Director
Welcome to the Mentoring and Training for Ministry (MTM) Project. We exist to enhance the skill sets and expertise of people serving or preparing to serve in Lutheran ministries. Our mission is “…to equip His people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Ephesians 4:12).
There are many ways in which this mission can be advanced. We create professional development for Christian teachers on topics they encounter in twenty-first century ministry: 1:1 laptop initiatives, Common Core standards, best practices in assessment, and educator effectiveness, just to identify a few. We offer extensive scholarships on a full online graduate program in educational design and technology as well as graduate coursework in literacy, school counseling, and educational administration. We also provide micro-grant funding to support best practices and faith development in Lutheran ministries.
In the end, it is simply about building the capacity and resources of the Body of Christ so that ministry, “which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
In His service—and yours,
Michael Uden, Ph.D.
Treasurer, The MTM Project
